The beginning of a New Year is always a time for reflecting on goals and how we can achieve more success in the future. It gives us insight on where we might have strayed from our initial goals. It also helps us realign ourselves and stay focused or change directions altogether. Sometimes it is ok to take a step back and look at where we have been, and go exploring to gain new insight. Lessons learned during this time can never be disregarded and concidered a waist of time. It is a growing and learning experience. Questions and doubts become answered so one can move forward. When ready, and only then can the passion return to our creative lives.

This painting is one which has an emotional impact for me. Although it is a place I returned to from my past, I created this one during the end of 2015 while completing it January 2016.
